Acquisition of general information
If you access our webpage, information of a general nature is automatically acquired. This information (server log files) includes for example the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar information. This involves exclusively information which does not allow any conclusions to be drawn as to your person. This information is required technically in order to correctly deliver the web page content that you requested and is an absolute requirement when using the internet. Anonymous information of this kind is evaluated statistically by us so as to optimise our online presence and the technology that supports it.
Like many other web pages we also use what are termed “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a web page server to your hard drive. By means of this we automatically receive certain data, such as the IP address, the browser used, the operating system, via your computer and your connection to the internet.
Cookies cannot be used to start programmes or to transfer viruses to a computer. On the basis of the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and make it possible the correct display of our web pages.
The data acquired by us is never transferred to third parties nor is any link to personal data created without your consent.
To protect the security of your data when transferring we employ encryption procedures that match the current status of technology (e.g. SSL) using HTTPS.
If you contact us via email or by using the contact form, the information you give is stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and also for follow-up questions.
Data deletion and/or blocking
We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data minimisation. This means that we store your personal data only for as long as it is needed to achieve the purposes mentioned here or as stipulated by the various retention periods stipulated by the legislator. Once the specific purpose no longer applies or after these periods have expired the corresponding data is blocked or deleted routinely and in accordance with the legal provisions.
Use of Google Analytics
This web page uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (hereinafter: Google). Google Analytics employs what are called “Cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and make it possible to analyse your use of the web page. The information produced by the cookie regarding your use of this web page is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, because of the activation of the IP anonymisation on these web pages, your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area is abbreviated in advance by Google. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address forwarded to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this web page Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the web page in order to put together reports on web page activities and to perform for the web page operator additional services involving use of the web page and of the internet. The IP address transmitted via your browser within Google Analytics does not accompany other Google data.
You can prevent storage of the cookies by using a setting for this in your browser software; we warn you, however, that in some cases you will not then be able to fully use all functions of this web page. In addition, you can prevent acquisition to Google of the data that is generated by the cookie and that is based on your use of the web page (incl. your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.
In addition or as an alternative to the Browser Add-on you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking on this link. This installs an opt-out cookie on your device. In this way acquisition by Google Analytics is prevented in future for this website and for this browser as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.
Use of script libraries (Google web fonts)
To depict our content across browsers correctly and graphically, on this website we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google web fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google web fonts are transferred into your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google web fonts or denies access, content is displayed in a standard font.
Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a link to the operator of the library. In so doing, it is theoretically possible – at present however it is also unclear whether or not and if so for what purposes – for operators of respective libraries to collect data.
You can find the data protection line of the Google library operator here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
Use of Google Maps
This web page uses Google Maps API to display geographical information visually. When using Google Maps, data on the use of the map functions by visitors is also collected, processed and used by Google. You can find more detailed information regarding the data processing by Google under the Google Data Protection Tips. There you can also change in the data protection centre your personal data protection settings.
Detailed explanations for managing your own data in relation to Google products are to be found here.
Embedded YouTube videos
On some of our web pages we embed YouTube videos. The operator of the appropriate plug-ins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page using the YouTube plug-in, a link to servers of YouTube is created. At the same time YouTube is told what pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can match your surfing habits to you personally. You prevent this by previously logging out of your YouTube account.
Those who have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google ad programme will not have to anticipate cookies of this kind, not even when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube places non-personal usage information in other cookies as well. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in the browser.
You will find further information about data protection with “YouTube” in the provider’s data protection statement under: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
